Two of the resolutions were for the N.C. Dept. Of Transportation: the reinspection and analysis of all public bridges on the Municipal Street System and the support of the Carteret County project list to be presented to the Dept. Of Transportation for inclusion in the Transportation Improvement Program for the coming year. The third resolution was a Town Ordinance defining the definition of "boats" which means any water craft or structure used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on the water. AGREEMENT A Mutual Aid Agreement was approved by the Board which will provide voluntary mutual aid among municipalities during a disaster. This document should make providing and receiving assistance among governments more efficient and effective, provide for faster reimbursement from FEMA and cover questions of insurance and liability that have previously been a concern without an agreement.
